Shuo Li
Hi! I am a tenure-track assistant professor at the Institute of Insurance Application and Innovation at Fudan University. I received my bachelor’s degree from Shandong University in 2017 and my Ph.D. in economics from the National School of Development at Peking University in 2022. Before joining Fudan, I was a postdoctoral fellow at the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Hong Kong. My research covers green finance, environmental economics, health economics, and development economics. Grounded in China’s real-world problems, I combine scientific methods with economic theory and causal identification to study how pollution, climate change, and environmental policy affect firms, health, and social welfare. My work has been published in the Journal of Environmental Economics and Management, the Journal of Population Economics, The Journal of World Economy (世界经济), and China Population, Resources and Environment (中国人口·资源与环境).
